Introduction

The Chorus Manager is part of the Data Center Edition. It provides a secure web-based interface for creating and managing Chorus instances on your server (with the ability to provision, delete or clone sites according to the restrictions on your license keys purchased from Third Light). It also provides controls over server-wide settings such as email relays, security certificates and software updates.

Accessing the Manager

To access the Manager, navigate to /apps/manager in your browser. You can access this path from any Chorus instance or by opening the server's IP address directly.

https://[address-to-server]/apps/manager

Please be prepared to accept and dismiss any certificate warnings, in the event that your SSL certificate does not match the hostname in your browser URL.

When you reach the Manager, you will see a login box with a username and password to fill in. There are several ways to authenticate, as follows:

  1. If you have a Chorus user login (based on the internal authentication of Chorus, not relying on the Authentication Module) and the user has the "Administrate system" option enabled, then you can login using your normal Chorus username and password.

  2. If you are using the Authentication Module, and you do not have an internal Chorus user with the "Administrate System" option enabled, you may be able to login using an LDAP user account, but additional configuration is required.

  3. If you are using the Authentication Module, and you do not have an internal Chorus user with the "Administrate System" option enabled, and you are not using Manager LDAP authentication, then you will not be able to login to the Chorus Manager. In this case, please contact Third Light support for help re-enabling access via your license username and license password temporarily.

When you have finished using the Manager, click 'Logout' in the top-right corner of any page.
