Introduction to this section
Where possible, Chorus will create references to files (instead of moving them).
For example, if you place a file in a Collection or a Smart Collection, the file you see when you open the Collection is a reference to an original file in a folder somewhere else in Chorus.
Why does Chorus work this way?
Reference files:
- Allow multiple users to view and work with files at the same time – without having to move the original file.
- Save storage capacity by removing any need for users to duplicate original files.
- Encourage different users to add metadata to files, making them more valuable for use and reuse by others.
- Promote the repurposing of existing files for a wide variety of projects.
