If you have not recorded your admin password and no other administrative users are available on your Chorus server, you can request a password reset from the login box of your Chorus  site. Click the ‘Lost Password’ button to begin this process.

To request a password reset, the email address associated with the admin account is required. This email address is set to the support address of your Chorus server by default during installation. In order to receive the password reminder email, you will also need a working email configuration and access to the mailbox to read emails sent to the specific email address.

If you cannot use the normal password reset process, you can also login to your Chorus server (as root) and execute these commands to reset the password of an existing account on the first site installed on the server.

cd /opt/thirdlight/ims/scripts/

./resetpassword.php

If the server's root password is lost, there is no procedure for resetting the password as these details are securely encrypted. For this reason, it is very important to record the initial root password during installation.
