titleIntroduction to this page

Customize files to download them in formats of your choosing.

Note that customizations are not made to the original files in your Chorus site. Rather, duplicates of these originals are prepared and customized for downloading only.

Good to know: Files customized for download can be revisited and re-downloaded from your Queue Manager for seven days after creation.

Step-by-step:

1. Select the item/s you want to download.

2. Click Download in the right-hand sidebar. A dropdown download menu will open.

3. Choose Custom Crop ... from the menu.

The Customization Console will open.

Customize files independently or in batches in the Customization Console:

To manually apply customizations to each file in a selected group: Use the arrows to move between the files and customize each independently.

To automatically apply a customization to all files of the same type in this group: Click on the symbol for this file type – images, audio files, videos, or documents – in the bubble at the bottom right-hand corner of the console. These files will appear in a stack for customization as a batch.

4. Click the cog symbol to open customization tools.

5. Click on the File Format menu.

Options for file formats include GIF, JPG, PNG, TIFF, and PDF. For more on what each of these mean, see File types supported by Chorus

Choose the file format you want to convert the file/s into for downloading.

6. If desired, select the color space that is most appropriate to your intended use of the file: For use in print (usually CMYK), or screen (usually RGB). The color space (or 'color profile') of a file is the way in which its colors are organized.

 7. Click Download in the bottom right-hand corner of the console.

Your Queue Manager will open at the Downloads tab.

7. When ready, click Collect on this download in the Queue Manager. A download window will appear in your browser.

8. Save the customized items to their destination on your local computer or server.
