Some notifications do not get emails straight away. This prevents overwhelming the user with notifications that they have already seen and acted upon in the Chorus UI. This delay is normally 2-3 minutes, plus the time it takes for the email to be delivered. When opening the notifications menu, the notifications are marked as read after a short delay and no emails will be sent.
