Introduction to this section

WHAT: Metadata includes data such as keywords, captions, and copyright information. When a file is 'tagged' with metadata, that data is embedded in the original file until it is actively removed.

The types of metadata that can be added to a file will depend on the space in which it is located.

WHY: Tagging a file with metadata instantly increases its value to you and your colleagues. Adding metadata makes a file easier to find, use, and reuse.

For more, see About: Chorus metadata.
