In rare situations, it is possible for a User or Space's content to become lost (i.e. for some reason it no longer knows who owns the content) . When this happens, Chorus will automatically create a new Space called 'Lost + Found' and add the Site Administrator to it. This Space acts like any other Space in Chorus—e.g. you can modify its contents, change its membership or even delete it (in which case it will be re-created next time lost content is discovered).

What can it contain?

  • Spaces—e.g.:
    • any Space for which the parent no longer exists (normally deleting the parent would also have deleted sub-Spaces)
  • User or Space content—e.g.:
    • content for a user or Space that no longer exists (normally this content would have been put into the deleter's recycle bin)
    • the folder containing the user or Space's content has become disconnected from the user or Space.
  • Catalogues—e.g.
    • any download sizes, metadata panels, metadata fields or link themes for which the user or Space no longer exists;
    • Catalogues that have become disconnected from their owner.
