Introduction to this section

WHAT: Sharing a folder with a Chorus colleague can be thought of as ‘showing’ a folder to the colleague in a one-to-one way.

The shared folder does not move location when it is shared; another user is simply given access to it. The metadata panels and details that they will see are those determined by the space in which the folder is located.

Folders, collections, and smart collections can be ‘shared with colleagues’. Individual files and spaces cannot be shared with this method.

You can set your colleague's permissions for viewing and handling the folder contents in the Share Folder modal.

Once shared with them, your colleague will receive access to the folder via their home space.

WHY: Share a folder with colleagues to collaborate on a one-to-one basis. Sharing a folder with a colleague is a private action. Recipients of a shared folder are not visible to any other recipients of the same folder.
