RAW DRAFT ONLY: SCREENSHOTS TO COME

The metadata catalog for your site will cascade down onto all top-level spaces and subspaces created across the global site. For this reason, panels and fields applied at this level should be carefully considered and minimal.

Department and project-specific panels and fields are better created on space and folder metadata catalogs.

Step-by-step:

1. Click Admin at the top of your desk and sign in to elevate.

2. Choose Presets > Metadata from the Admin menu. The Metadata Catalog for Site modal will open.

5. Click CREATE PANEL. A new metadata panel will appear.

6. Give the panel a short name.

7. Add a field to the panel: Select a field type from the dropdown menu and click the plus icon.

For details on each of the predefined field types, see A5.3 About metadata fields.

8. Add more fields in the same way. Click the plus icon to add each field to a panel.

9. Tick the Share this panel box to make this panel available for other users to add to their own space metadata catalogs.

10. Tick the Apply this panel to root folder box to ??
**I have never been able to see what effect this has**

7. Click SAVE.
