Introduction to this section
WHAT: There are two ways in which managers of a space can control the metadata that is applied to all files within the space:
- Add, or edit, metadata at a space level. This applies edited metadata values to all files in the space and its subspaces.
- Edit the space metadata manager. This changes the metadata panels and fields that are made available to users for editing on all files in the space and its subspaces.
WHY: Managing metadata at a space level is efficient and smart. Space metadata saves all users time in tagging files, and customizing a space's metadata manager tailors the tagging process for folders that share the same needs.
