Introduction to this section

WHAT: There are two ways in which managers of a space can control the metadata that is applied to all files within the space:

  1. Add, or edit, metadata at a space level. This applies edited metadata values to all files in the space and its subspaces.
  2. Edit the space metadata manager. This changes the metadata panels and fields that are made available to users for editing on all files in the space and its subspaces.

WHY: Managing metadata at a space level is efficient and smart. Space metadata saves all users time in tagging files, and customizing a space's metadata manager tailors the tagging process for folders that share the same needs.
